After the battle with Giacomo, Ayme and Folon in the Celestial Alps, Catranne will tell you of different events that are happening in the islands. These are the character sidequests where every character other than Kalas will be able to gain his/her class 6 item and level 8 finishing move(Kalas got his at the Celestial Alps). Gibari's is in Nashira, Xelha's is in Annuenue, Lyude's is in Mira, Savyna's is in Alfard and Mizuti's is in Duhr.
In Cursa Wazn, There is a man living at the west side of the city that will sculpt Xelha and Kalas after you have invaded Cor Hydrae into ice. He sculpts Xelha in a really good pose, but he makes Kalas' look like he is doing a weird dance! Kalas gets kinda mad, but the others seem to like it. The man will say he will keep those in the window for display! How imbarrasing for Kalas!
Using certain cards in a certain order will earn you a new, rare card. These cards can be made by more than just 2 specific cards, and can be used to make super rare cards. Those cards can be further used to make an ultra rare card. The only way to dicover these cards is to experiment with hte cards you find. Enjoy yourself!
All magnus have at least one number in the corner, but there can be a maximum of four numbers. These numbers can effect how much damage you can do in battle. When you use two or more cards and select the same number, you get a card bonus. A straight is when you use one card and another card with the next number in the sequence(example:the number is one, so you us 2 next. Then 3,4 ,5 and so on. It also works in the oposite way). Try to get straight bonuses when you can. They give you a bigger bonus.
Baten Kiatos has a very unique battle system. The way battles occur is with magic cards called magnus. Magnus contain weapons, armor, or items that can cause various effects. This way you can carry over 1,000 cards without alot of weight holding you down.
