Rockstar announces GTA Online Update 1.05

Grand Theft Auto Online

Earlier today, Rockstar Games announced patch 1.05 of Grand Theft Auto Online for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 users.

Items fixed in this update include:

  • patch glitches relating to players’ vehicles and/or vehicle modifications were disappearing when saving to cloud storage locations
  • prevent users from losing game progress in the event of a cloud outage
  • protect players’ cash balances in the event of network issues
  • patch a bug where network issues could cause players to love their online vehicle or mods after exiting the game

In addition to this announcement, Rockstar also stated that they will begin rolling out their GTA$ Stimulus funds to players over “the next couple of days,” with a warning not to freak out if your friends get their money before you do.

Glad they fixed that bug where I love my vehicle after exiting, now I can get on with my life.

These glitches have been a disaster causing a lot of players so much grief and making several people I know very unhappy including myself. I’ve been seeing so many players giving up on this game. I still own my copy but play it far less then I would like to.nnnAfter you have played a game with all kinds of glitches and issues it makes you not want to ever play it again. Even if they do fix everything, the games already been played out. The online just has nothing to offer. Once you have played everything they have you don’t want to do it anymore and it just feels mind numbing.nnnI really like the GTA series and all as well as the online, it was fun for a couple weeks but now it’s just old news and it’s now time to move onto the next fun game and let this title collect dust with the many other games that I have on my shelf. nnnWhat ever happened to games launching as a full and complete product?nJust because we can now patch issues should not be a reason to just make a game and not test it. I mean, I know they do tests before releasing but this online feels as if it was never tested it. Almost as if they just used the main game adding some rules and menus then was done with it.nnnI will be returning after they introduce more content just to give it another try and these fixes are great. Hopefully more people will continue to play and enjoy this game but as for me I am hard to amuse.
