Cheats for Formula 1 for PSX

CheatCodes
Buggy Mode
On the race qualify screen, hold Select and press Right, Up, Triangle, Left, Up, Square, Triangle. If you entered the code correctly, the phrase "Buggy Mode Activated" will appear. Now your car will turn into a small 4x4 buggy.
Bike Mode
On the race qualify screen, hold Select and press Down, Up, Circle, Triangle, Right, Up, Square, Triangle. If you entered the code correctly, the phrase "Bike Mode Activated" will appear. Your car will turn into a small motorbike.
Gibberish Mode
On the race qualify screen, hold Select and press Left, Circle, Up, Down(2), Right, Circle, Square(2). If you entered the code correctly, the phrase "Gibberish Mode Activated" will appear. Now murray will speak in gibberish.
Lava Track
On the race qualify screen, hold Select and press Square, Circle, Up, Right(2), Circle, X. If you entered the code correctly, the phrase "Lava Mode Activated" will appear. Now the track will turn into lava, with remaining areas gray.
Extra Track (Frameout City)
On the race qualify screen, hold Select and press Left, Circle(2), Triangle(2), Circle, Up, Right. If you entered the code correctly, the phrase "Bonus Track Activated" will appear. Now the car-shaped bonus track will be selectable next time a new single race game is started. This track is normally available only after racing all 17 rounds in championship mode, with a finish of first, second, or third in the championship. Save the game to a memory card to keep the bonus track selectable.
German Mode
On the race qualify screen, hold Select and press Down, Up, Left(2), Square, Circle, X. If you entered the code correctly, the phrase "German Mode Activated" will appear. Now the commentary will now be in German during the race regardless of the selected language. However, commentary must be enabled in the sound options menu to be audible.
Spanish Mode
On the race qualify screen, hold Select and press Triangle, Circle, Right, Circle, Triangle, Circle, Right, Circle. If you entered the code correctly, the phrase "Spanish Mode Activated" will appear. Now the commentary will now be in Spanish during the race regardless of the selected language. However, commentary must be enabled in the sound options menu to be audible.
