CheatCodes.com has all the official Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec PS2 cheats to unlock everything. If you know of any that we don't have, please let us know.
All published and official codes as of Wednesday June 19, 2013 for Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec are shown below.
Win the European Championship race in the amature leauge.
Buy a Mitsubishi 3000GT, put all tuner parts on it and dirt tires. It will have over 1000hp.
If you are just starting out go buy the most expensive Miata you can afford. Then race the first race in the Sunday cup [begginer leauge]and race it a few times. Don't put turbo in it cause you'll probably go to the turbo monster race and the 3000gt will smoke you! So just n/a tune your car to the second level {don't forget to get a racing intake system}. Now your cars speed will be to much for your car tires to handle. So you'll have to scrape up some money and buy some racing tires. Then just race the n/a tuned cup in the begginer leauge a bunch of times and thats 5 grand every race so you'll have money for a non crappy car in no time!
If you won the Zonda racer don't bother with the Zonda race series. You'll end up winning the same car again!
What to do first is to get a license. If you can't get a license, just buy a PT cruiser or a Toyota trueno sprinter apex. Then go to the sunday cup and keep on redoing it until you get enough money for a Mustang SVT Cobra R. Then keep on winning races and upgrading it until you win (Or buy, winning is better) some awesome race car. Soup that up until you get LOADS of money and cars. I now have a Nissan R350 GT1 LM Race Car And hope to get a F1 race car because of this.
This isn't the easiest way to start the game, but if you're good enough, it's well worth it. First, get all golds on licenses B, A, and IB (sounds difficult but it's not). You will unlock 3 cars, Mazda MX-5 Roadster LS, Mazda RX-8, and the Nissan 350Z Concept. All three sell for 155, 280 credits, plus you start with 18, 000, so that's 173, 280 total, not bad. Next, take your cash and buy the RUF RGT, no upgrades. Then, race in either the American Championship or European Championship in Amateur League, do the series race, win that, and you have the opportunity of unlocking the Camaro Race Car (American) or the Vertigo Race Car (European) both of which are exceptional cars. You now can race in pretty much any race in Amateur League.
To get a Corvette C5R, simply beat 50% of the simulation game.
When getting a license, keep the blue line between the wheels of your car, when the lines are white, let go of the accelarator, when the lines are red, slow down by lightly pressing the reverse buton(square).
Win the formula Gt championship in professional league to get 30,000 credits for each race and a championship bonus of 250,000 credits and four Formula 1 race cars: The f090/s, the f687/s, the f686/m or the f688/s formula 1 cars. Use the choose your car trick to get any one of them.
When you buy wheels for your car you will see "sold out" on the wheel you just bought. You can use that wheel you just bought on as many cars that you want! So unlike G.T.2 you don't haveto dye another set of thoes same type of wheel.
You can run through the signs that mark how many meters you are away from a turn at Complex String.
Win the GT championship in the amature league.
When you win the Endurance Super Speedway Race (a fully upgraded Mustang or Mitsubishi 3000-GT w/ slick tires is impossible to lose with) use the "Chose your car trick" to pick the the first of the F1 series cars. After winning this race, you will have 200,000 credits and one of the best cars in the game. Next do the Stage Route 11 race with your new car, and you should easily win 500,000 credits and use the "Chose your car trick" once again to get the next F1 car in the series. Continue to do this with the races that award these cars (see list below) until you have all of them, the best car in the game, and huge amounts of credits. With your new toys, you can easily win all unlimited races, get endless amounts of money, and lead to your domination of the game.
F687/s - Pro F1 Championship, Seattle Endurance or SS Route 11 Endurance. F686/s - Pro F1 Championship, Cote D'Azur Endurance or Laguna Seca Endurance. F688/s - Pro F1 Championship, Rome 2 Hour Endurance or Apricot Hill Roadster Endurance Race. F090/s - Pro Dream Car Championship, Pro F1 Championship, Super Speedway 150 Mile Endurance or Grand Valley 300 Endurance. F094/h - Tokyo R246 Endurance, Trial Mountain 2 Hour Endurance, or Complete Endurance Mode. F094/s - Pro Polyphony Digital Cup or Complete 100% of the game.
For all you new players out there, this is for you. Begin the game by completing all license tests up through I-A. After that, buy a Suzuki Alto Works. Spend as much money as you can on this to make it good. The money you are getting from this should go toward a Mustang SVT Cobra. When you get this, soup the car up as much as possible by winning more races. Then, enter the Super Speedway Endurance Race. After you win, there will be a roulette of four cars. The car you want is the formula car. Once you get this, it will be very easy to win any race you enter, and you will soon have loads of money and cars.
First, get a car with fairly high horsepower. I used a souped Mustang SVT Cobra with about 600hp for this. Go into Endurance Race, and choose Super Speedway. When you begin the race, be sure that you can contend with the other racers (NOTE: You may not be the fastest in the field). During the race, no matter what, DO NOT PIT. You will end up winning the race, getting $200,000, and hopefully, a F090/s formula car.
Beat the Japenesse Series in the Professional League and you get the Zonda Race Car.
F687/s - Pro F1 Championship, Seattle Endurance or SS Route 11 Endurance. F686/s - Pro F1 Championship, Cote D'Azur Endurance or Laguna Seca Endurance. F688/s - Pro F1 Championship, Rome 2 Hour Endurance or Apricot Hill Roadster Endurance Race. F090/s - Pro Dream Car Championship, Pro F1 Championship, Super Speedway 150 Mile Endurance or Grand Valley 300 Endurance. F094/h - Tokyo R246 Endurance, Trial Mountain 2 Hour Endurance, or Complete Endurance Mode. F094/s - Pro Polyphony Digital Cup or Complete 100% of the game.
On the last lap of a race, if you are in second place, just stay to the inside the corner on a sharp turn. When the computer starts to turn in, just bump him while going full speed. He will either spin out or hit the wall and you will be in first.
Purchase this car and go to upgrades, upgrade the RUF CTR2 with the highiest tunning then go to Machine Test. Use this setting to make the RUF CTR2 leave all the challengers at the starting gate. Top spead for the RUF CTR2 will peak at 263.3 MPH Setting Spring rate - 15.9 kg/mm (f) 16.0 kg/mm (r) Ride height - 130 mm (f) 77mm (r) Stablizers Level front and rear @ level 5 Brake balance front & rear @ level 23 (when using thie setting make sure to you do not brake hard going into your corners.. just tap your brakes going in and out of your turns. TRUST ME.) Gear Ratio Final Gear @ 3.000 Auto Setting Wide 47 Set your gear ratio and auto gear first then go to your 1st gear and set it to 2.990. Finaly set your Active Stability Management @ Level 2 TSC Controller @ Level 5 VCD Controller @ 40 % With these setting your RUF CTR2 with kill at the starting gate, you have you remember to tap your brakes when going into your corning. You can and will defeat all racers in the Beginner & Ametuer League, don't for get to purchase the Sport Tires for the long races and the Super Soft Tires for all races that do not requir tire damage.
Win the Subaru Imprezza LM Race car in the dream car championship (amature). Add a bigger turbo, oil change and dirt tires and you`ll have the best handling rally car with 965 hp. The Escudo has some wicked turbo lag that makes it virtually undriveable and the Mitsubishi 3000 GT is far too heavy.
If you are getting really tired of holding the arrows on the controller at the gear ratio adjustments, especially on your final then hold the R1 button on your controller to make the gear number go up and to make the gear ratio go down hold L1 button. By holding the R1 or the L1 this will make your gear ratio "SKY ROCKET" by 10's instead of going by 1's!!!
Win the Escudo Pikes Peaks (Because its cheaper than buying it) and tune the engine fully. After tuneing and an oil change, the Escudo should have over 1800 Horse Power.
After winning 50% of all your races, you will be awarded the Corvette G5R after completion of your 50th race. So there is no need to purchace with car from the dealer.

Although the F1 cars have fictional liveries, they are real cars. The names of the cars are codes for what they really are. For example: F/094s Is A 10 Cylinder 1994 Williams Driven By Ayrton Senna. The Code Works Like This:
F = Formula 1 0 = 10 Cylinder 94 = 1994 s = Ayrton SennaFrom This Info It Is Possible To Work Out This Is A Williams. The Full Series Of Codes Is This:
F = Formula 1 0 = 10 Cylinder 6 = 6 Cylinder 86 = 1986 88 = 1988 94 = 1994 s = Ayrton Senna m = Nigel Mansell h = Damon Hill
Win The 4 Wheel Drive Races In The Amateur League.

may take a long time to complete.
Beat the GT Race of Red Emblem on the professional League to get the Calsonic Skyline. You can upgrade the Calsonic to 922 horsepower or if you dont like it you may sell if for $312,500.
Race the Type R race in beginner mode to win the Acura RSX Type S.
When entering a series race always check if you have enough hp to stay in the top 3.
Some of you may think this is lame, but I'm happy with it and it works for me. What you do is get a good car, Like a Zonda or Escudo or something fully upgraded. You go to the 150 Mile Endurance Race on the Super Speedway, Make sure you get in 1st, and stay in 1st for about 30 laps, and lap all the other cars various times. Then, get something heavy like a book and set it on the accelerator button, or tape down your Acceleration Button (Default X), and go to sleep or something while your car finishes the race, the car will eventually turn into the pit stop so you really don't have to worry. Usually pits every 20 laps. So if your lazy like me and don't wanna waste an hour sitting on your ass, use my stratigy and go to McDonalds, get something to eat and when you come back, your car should be almost done with the race.
This hint still requires some effort on your part, but you can handle it. On any Championship (these are the ones with all the races strung together) get first place on all of the races, say its 10 races strung together, get first on the first 9 of them then save your game before the last race. After that go the #10 race, start it then exit it. Since you have 90 points and the most anyone else has is around 40 or 50 you don't even need anymore points. After you skip the final race you'll get your winnings and a randomly chosen car. If that car wasn't that good or you want to see what else there was just reload your game. You'll be sent to the #10 race, just skip it again and keep doing so until you get the best car out of the 4 that are there.
In the Trial Mountain Circut there is a diagonal hill that sticks out near the end of the course. As you drive down the mountain (where the BMW power sign is) you have to cut across the grass field and hit the grass ramp at high speeds (perferbly with a light car). You should be able to hit the top of the tunnel and drive on one wheel enough speed may even topple you over!!
Once you have completed all the endurance races you'll recieve the F094/h which is one of the best cars in the game and one of the better F1 cars. It has amazing turning abilities and its speeds can hardly be matched making the rest of the game really easy!!
Get your hands on a car that has at least 900 horse power (to be extra safe get one with 1000 or more)and make sure that you have the Super Slick tires on it so that you don't have to pit a lot. Go to the Endurance Races and select the one called Super Speedway (the one all the way to the right). You won't need to qualify for the race, just start it. With that much hp you'll be in 1st before the end of the 1st lap. Now here's why its extremely easy, you can just ride the wall the whole time with the exception of the car turning towards the pit every once in a while. What I did was put the controller down on my desk and leaned a padded 5 pound weight on the X button, turned the vibration function off so the weight wouldn't fall off and just sat there while the car went around and around occasionally tapping the right D-pad button to turn away from the pit. You can't walk away from it though because its a little unprodictable. Afterwards you get $200,000 and a randomly chosen car, and what's really cool is that every time you do this you win a car, its not like the other races where you only win the car once and can't win it again.
To get fast cars and fast all you need to start off is a Lancer Evo 7 (only the rs cheapy version) which is fully tuned. Enter in the super speedway endurance race the competition looks tough but your lancer can beat them. Go into the settings and turn the spring rate up to 20 and the ride height down to the lowest, put the camber on 3.5 and the toe on 0.5. With these settings you should be able to win the race, just pit carefully. Its worth it, for your troubles you get £200.000 and a car of your choice. You only get 1 chance at this next bit so try it out on some other championships first. At the screen where the car is won it is picked totally at random, the black circle selects the car you will win so press X on the car that looks the best (usually the 1 with the biggest spoiler) I'm not sure which is the best but when i did it i won the Tickford. When you get back to your garage take this new car to the tune shoppe and wack the biggest turbo/NA tune on it the tickford gets up to 993HP. With this masterful ride you can go on to win the four championships at the start of the armature league. In these you can win many more super cars such as the Camero race car and the Gillet vertigo race car. Just remember to save the game before the last race in each series so if a the car selection screen you get the wrong one you can just reset and try again (you only get a car the first time you win a championship)
This only works if you have a dual shock or dual shock 2. Sometimes with really powerful rear wheel drive cars you can accelerate to exit a corner (especially with tyre damage on) and just spin round or loose control of the back end, and you can bet this will happen on the last corner of the track on the last lap because you want to get away faster to win. There is only one soloutin to this that i have found and its simple: ANALOGUE STICKS you can try and use the crappy analogue buttons on the dual shock 2 but its harder. When exiting the corner just initially put a little bit of power on so the wheels don't spinand then continue to floor it you'll find that you win more races and waste less time in those dang pitts.
I know this will sound stupid but to get extra acceleration at the start of races you should let the tacheometer (rev thingy) do the full scale of revs as many times before the race stars. E.g when you start it is at 0 thousand revs so accelerate up to the top usually 7 or 8 and then let it fall again to 0 keep doing this and you should take a few millisecconds off of your time it doesn't sound much but how many times have you been milliseconds off getting that licence.
Every time you get first place on all the races in a cup you earn a new car. This should be very helpful if you are low on cash and can't buy new cars.
The two best cars are the two Audi's. Save enough money and buy the S4. Race the Turbo tracks on beginner and amatuer, after you have all the upgrades, you have about the fastest non "race" car there is! The Audi TT is also a good car, but I prefer the S4.

With your memory card in the slot, go to simulation mode and go to the Home menu. Go to Trade and load your garage from the memory card. Now you can buy any of the cars that you have and it will already have the upgrades that you put on it. The best thing is that you only have to pay retail price.
In such tracks as trial mountain with sharp turns, let your car grind on the wall instead of hitting the brakes like the boring, cheating, stupid A.I.'s. for example, in trial mountain, after the long straightaway tunnel with the road hill, grind on the wall (do not brake!). this helps a lot like, say your in second, all you do is grind off that wall and boom you in first or closer to first place.
There is a way to make an Escudo or GT40 front end lift up. Use the following settings and race your car at the test track. At about 230 mph the front end should lift up. 1. Equip the highest NA or Turbo tune-up 2. Put spring rate to minimum for front and back 3. Put ride height to minimum for front and back 4. Put gear's auto setting to widest, and final to 3.000 5. Put front down force to minimum and back to maximum 6. Set ASM and TCS to level 0.
Go to Super Speedway in the Beginner League and keep doing the same level for easy money. Go to the Beginner League and race in NA to get 5,000 credits. If you have a good car, go to the Amateur League and race in NA for 10,000 credits. If you have a very good car, go to the Amateur League and race in GT All Stars in the test course to get 25,000 credits. Note: Buy the cheapest tires, as they last longer. Get a fast car and race the Speedway in the Final Series Race in the Beginner League to win 10,000 credits.
Successfully complete each tier of tracks in arcade mode on any difficulty setting to unlock the next tier of tracks: Tier 1 Super Speedway, Midfield Raceway, Smokey Mountain, Swiss Alps, Trial Mountain, Midfield Raceway II. Tier 2 Smokey Mountain II, Tokyo R246, Grand Valley Speedway, Laguna Seca Raceway, Rome Circuit, Tahiti Circuit. Tier 3 Swiss Alps II, Trial Mountain II, Deep Forest Raceway II, Special Stage Route 5, Seattle Circuit, Test Course.
Series awards (i.e. cars) are not purely random. Press X when a silhouetted car has the large black circle flashing under it to cause that car to be selected as the award for winning the series. Timing is crucial, since the large black circle only appears under a car for less than half a second. If you are too slow, the next car to get the large black circle will be selected.
Next to the current gear the car is in on the HUD, you will occasionally see a red and sometimes flashing number. This number is indicating what gear you should be in when you make the next turn. Sometimes this is overcompensated by how you have set the gear ratios or the condition of the tires at the time, but for the most part, it is a pretty good indication of the speed you need to be at in order to make the next turn without hitting a wall.
When you get a car, change the oil. It will boost the horse power by at least 10 and only costs 250 credits.
Tap the emergency brake (default is Circle) just before a sharp turn and let the car go into a sort of neutral gear state. This will keep the tires from spinning due to downshifting. Using the momentum of the car and a little braking, you should make it through a tight turn without getting turned around or fishtailing most of the time. This is especially helpful on the Laguna Seca Track in the "corkscrew" turns. This turning technique is also helpful sometimes in a rally race. It can usually induce a slide for tight cornering.
The race cars you win can be tuned to go faster. Always save the game before tuning or buying a car. If you do not like what you get, just reload.
For any normal non-endurance race, select super soft race tires. They do not wear out on the track unless you see a tire meter on your screen. For endurance races, use the cheapest race tires. Though the screen says they have the least traction they will have enough after about two laps to keep you going quickly. Despite being the cheapest, they are in fact race tires and work much better than any street tire. You will benefit more by getting extra laps on a set of cheap tires then getting a few faster laps on the expensive tires, which will need more frequent changes. This will also save money.

Two memory cards are required for this trick. After you have earned about 200,000 credits, purchase a car, such as the Mitsubishi 3000 GT. Upgrade it up to the max. This will leave you almost broke. Go home and save this car memory slot two, then return to the title screen and load your last game from memory slot one. This will give you your money back, and you can now go home and trade from memory slot two. That car that you just spent all those credits on will only cost you retail price.
Do not waste money on upgrading the first few cars you have in the game. Instead, practice being a better driver. Wait until you win a car with some real potential until you upgrade. For example, start out with a Mazda Miata, but do not upgrade. Use it to win a Mazda RX-7 Effini 3, then upgrade.
