How to Enter Nintendo 64 Cheats

  1. Left Shoulder Button: Also referred to as L, can be used either before or during the input of cheats.
  2. Z Trigger: Also referred to as Z. Located on the backside of the controller, can be used either before or during the input of cheats.
  3. Right Trigger: Also referred to as R, can be used either before or during the input of cheats.
  4. Camera Buttons: Normally used to change the view during game play. Generally not used in cheats.
  5. B Button: Popular button used in many cheats.
  6. A Button: Popular button used in many cheats.
  7. Analog Stick: This stick can be pushed up, down, left, or right, or diagonal in any direction.
  8. Start Button: Can be used either before or during the input of cheats.
  9. Directional Pad: Also known as the D-Pad, this pad can be pushed up, down, left, or right. When a cheat says to press "up" without being specific as to which part of the controller to use, it's usually this one.
