In the Groove is an interactive dancing game that combines music, video, and dancepad rhythm mechanics to enable players the ability to spin, swivel, slide, and dance their way towards earning points instead of just moving a controller. The PS2 version of In the Groove boasts exclusive, never before seen features like arrow modifiers that change the spin, speed, and motions of the 3D pointers in addition to 40 other effects that create additional challenges. Innovations in step choreography have been included as well, with hands, mines, and quads to allow players to make new kinds of moves not available in any other music title. Five different game modes, 70 brand new songs from a variety of artists, and more than 550 step patterns and 50 modifier options are also available.
