Cheats for Mario Power Tennis for GameCube

Unlock Event Games Mode
To unlock the multiplayer event games mode hold the z botton at the mario power tennis title screen and then press start.

Mecha-Bowser Mayhem
You have to beat Mushroom cup in order to get Mech-Bowser Mayhem
Moonlight Cup
To unlock moonlight cup, beat all rainbow cup tournaments.
Star Cup
To unlock Star Vup, just beat the 3 tournaments of the normal cup.
Bowser Court
To unlock Bowser's Court,just beat the Fire tournament of the special cup in singles.
Unlock Max Difficulty
Win all 3 Star Cup tournaments.
Event Games
On the start screen hold down (Z) and push (Start). You should know have event games. (This will not stay forever, you will have to do this each time you play.)
Gimmick Court, Are You Sure?
Play the Gimmick Masters Tournament with any character. Beat your opponent in a match. Go to Exhibition mode and fill in your preferences until the court selection screen. The court that you played on in the tournament can now be played in Standard, Ring Shot, and Item Battle modes.
Court Positions For Tricky Players
These are the best positions, in my opinion, to place Tricky characters.
BOO- he is awesome in the front. BOWSER JR.- he is the best in the front. FLY GUY- he plays well anywhere, but is probably the best in the front.
Court Positions For Speed Players
I put my speed characters in these positions.
YOSHI- he is the best in the back. KOOPA TROOPA- he plays best in the back or middle, your choice. DIDDY KONG- he plays the best between the back and the middle.
Court Positions For Defense Players
I put my Defense characters in these places when I use them.
WALUIGI- he is the best in the middle. WIGGLER- it is awesome in the front (it can spike the ball almost every time it is hit up).
Court Positions For Power Players
These places are where I would put my Power characters.
WARIO- he plays the best in the front and is okay in the middle, definitely not the back. DONKEY KONG- he rocks in the middle. BOWSER- he plays well in the front and middle, your choice. PETEY PIRANHA- it is awesome in the front (it can spike the ball even when it is very high).
Court Positions For Technique Players
These, in my opinion, are the best positions to put your technique character.
PEACH- she plays best in the middle or the front, your choice. DAISY- she is the best in either the back or the front, I would choose the front. SHY GUY- he is the best in the front and okay in the middle. PARATROOPA- he rocks anywhere, but I would choose the back. This guy should be a Speed player.
Court Positions
I have found out that these court positions work best with the all-around characters.
MARIO- as an all-around character, he plays well anywhere on the court (go figure). LUIGI- he plays well anywhere, but he is probably the best in the back.
Unlock Fly-Guy
Beat the three tournaments of the normal cup in singles.
Unlock Paratroopa
Beat the three tournaments of the normal cup in doubles.
Event Mode
On the tile screen, hold the Z button abd press start. Event Mode is only for multiplayer.
Unlock Wiggler
Beat both special tournaments in singles.
Random Select
On the character select screen or the court select screen, press the X button then a random character/court will be selected.
Taunt
When the ball is on your opponent's side of the court, press A or B to taunt.
Yoshi's Defensive Power Shot Colour Change
Beat flower cup in doubles with any character.
Get A Character's Star
Beat the three tournaments of the normal cup and you'll get a star for the character you used.
Unlock Ace Com Difficulty
Complete the star tournament in either singles or doubles with any character.
Unlock Petey Piranha
Complete the special tournaments in doubles.
