CheatCodes
Invincibility
Enter "NARPAS SWORD0 000000 000000" as a password. This allows you to start with everything and invincibility. The Bosses are not defeated, and you can play the game normally, but invincible.
All Tanks, And Pick-ups (Not Infinite)
This is on the basis that "Metroid" has already been unlocked. Go to "Options" on the main page. Select "Original Metroid", and press Start when the title screen comes up. Press select, and then Start. Type "JUSTIN BAILEY ------ ------". Note: Do not use the numbers, and you can't type the apostrophes, don't worry about spacing: it's every six spaces. Type the dashes which is located in the bottom right. When done, press start, and you will begin in Norfair, on the Elevator, with a suit-less Samus, with Wave Beam, 255 Missiles, and 30 energy units. You have all the tanks, and pick-ups, but it is not infinite.
Hints, Tips, Tricks, Secrets, Glitches & Easter Eggs
With Or Without The Long Beam
You can get the long beam to get to the east part of Brinstar, but there's a way in which you don't need the long beam. Only do this if your pretty good at the game. Go to where the door between the two sides of Brinstar is. Go onto the ground above it and shoot down. You'll blast through a secret passage leading to the door.
Power Bomb Tank Hidden By Mecha Ridley
When you're in the room before you have to shoot the top of a block, run in to the room with the block and turn around. Shoot at the door and run and don't stop. When you reach around the place where you have to jump, run and jump with the speed booster and jump and the floor should break. Then, space jump across the room, but be careful! There are lasers, and if you hit one, then you have to go to another room again and do it all over again. Then, at the end of it, power bomb the floor or space jump, or do what ever you have to do to get it, and then you have another 5 power bombs! Pretty sweet huh? Try it. Sooner or later you will get it.
Deafeat The Chozodian Floating Statue
First it'll show a cutscene of your surroundings, then a picture of you as a 2 year old, then it will show you know. First time it will just sit there, then it will move around if it does move around under it or you'll be ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!! After the fourth turn it shall die youl get the fully powered Power suit and just as you get it the 3 #&!(#$^!^ items will come in to power, The gravity suit, the plasma beam, and the space jump.
Morph Ball Charge
Have Morph Ball and charge beam. Charge up your beam. Go into morph ball while having a charged beam. * Special Surprise*!
Revalation In The Ruins
To deafeat the spirit deep in the Chozo Ruins you will need to shoot the orb in its hand when it changes from Samus to the power suit symbol(it will only work with a charged shot.) Soon after that the spirit will come out and will start shooting lightning at you and it will eventually go across the floor.Repeat the process three times to get the FULLY POWERED SUIT.
Defeat The Lost Boss
Shoot his chest Button until the glass brakes (your aimming must be very precise). Continue to shoot him in the chest, but he will spit fire you must dodge, laser beams which are more difficult to dodge, missiles that if you stand and shoot strait at you will blow up(these give you Items), and He will try to crush you with his foot(jump at the left wall to dodge it.) P.S.: Like the mother brain when it's dead it will activate a self-destruct, you must then get to one of the ships you saw in the mother ship.
Speedy
When you get to the very top right hand corner of norfair freeze the ripper just a little away from the wall. Then being very careful of the three collumns of pit blocks right at the end carefully jump on the ripper's back and stand up on it and fire a missle and navigate the maze down to Ridley. (only do this if you feel confident enough to take on Ridley)
Defeat The Floating You
Jump up to it and face it. When the bubble turns into a symbol, then shoot it(repeat Four Times). But the bubble will start to float - and as soon as the screen flashes MOVE.
How To Defeat Kirad
You can defeat kirad if you shoot him in his third eye. Note: he might use his third pike.
