If you go to spring training and create a player, then you want to keep his batting avg as high as possible to go to the majors. to do this look to the bottom corner of the screen when your player is at bat. the words to hit avg or to hit power are down there and show you to press the square button. if you hit avg instead of power you will get on base more and your avg will remain good.You only want to use power if you only have 1 out and you have a man on base for the sacrifice play...

When choosing your pitch, choose a fastball. When you press X to move the ball around, hold down X while you place the pitch. It goes 90 to 101 mph.

Throw a pitch that will be a strike, then pause the game when the ball just reaches the batter. Resume the game. If done correctly, the batter will not swing at the ball.
