Put in your earplugs, because the engines are really revving in NASCAR '99. Choose from 37 different NASCAR drivers including Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt, and Richard Petty as you take to the 17 licensed tracks. Each driver's car is replicated in perfect detail (right down to the decals), and each is configured exactly as it was for the 1998 season. The 17 tracks including Sears Point, Atlanta Motor Speedway, and Michigan Speedway are all accurate replicas as well. Bob Jenkins and Benny Parsons call all the action, lending one of many authentic touches to this ultra-realistic game from EA Sports.

Hints, Secrets, Glitches & Easter Eggs

Pit Stop Glitch

It happened with me when I was racing as Geoff Bodine in Sears Point. I lost a tire, went to the pits, and I came out of the pits still missing a tire. I knew I put it in the "change tires" mode in the pits. If that happened even after I put it in "Change tires" mode, it's a glitch.

Martinsville Raceway: Shortcut

In Martinsville, when you turn (on any side), go to the gray lane (avoid the grass, that will slow you down). Do that on every lap and you will catch up to everybody or go way ahead of the leader!

Softer Engine Sound

Pause the game and select the "Instant Replay" option. Then, select a camera angle that is inside the car. When the race resumes, your engine sound will remain softer. Change views during the race to return the sound to normal.

Acrobatics

Enter the options screen and disable damage. Then your car can perform flips and barrel rolls during a race.

Knock Down Half Of The Pit Crew!!!

To make this work, put damage on, equipment breakdown on, and yellow flag on. On any race track, lose a tire (try not to lose it completely, and try not to flip over. Knock somebody's tire off completely and lose a tire yourself. Go to the pit stop immediately, then right when you are heading to your pit crew, the yellow flag will be out, which will cancel the repair. Then you will drive away from the pit crew and knock over 2 of them like a 2-D cardboard figure!!!!!
