CheatCodes
Unlimited 1ups
This cheat is the same as the cheat from the original Nintendo (NES) system. Go to the first Star Coin on the first course on the Mushroom world and stand on top of the steps. Stay there and wait for Noko-Noko - then go down to the second or third step and jump on Noko-Noko. Don't jump on it will full force, just a light tap. Then Noko-Noko will bounce off the wall and your character will keep jumping on it! The timing should be just right to just repeatedly bounce up. Since it will keep bouncing, you can get three crowns every few minutes. Don't try it when you're Golden Mario, as it will stop after a couple dozen jumps.
Play As Luigi
During the single player game, you can play as Luigi! All you need to do is defeat Bowser in world 6 to complete the game. Once that's complete, on the "file select" screen just hold L and R when you press A to select your file.

But That Wasn't In The Original!
In New Super Mario Bros. , you can play as Luigi anytime you want. Well, in this game, you have to beat the game to get Luigi. This only works with one file each. If you want to start a new file, then you will have to complete the game again.
Koopa Shell 1up
Go to world 1-1. Near the end there is a Koopa Troopa. Jump on it and grab its shell. Go near the flagpole. Trow the Koopa shell at the pile of Goombas. The 1up is as good as yours.
Unlimited RACCOON FLYING!!!
This glitch is amazing! Looks like some people thought that you can only do the flying thing ONCE, but its not true. You can do it for a very long time. First you will NEED to have a RACCOON SUIT! Then, keep running until your P WING bar is filled up then start flying. Next, touch the ground to get a BOOST of flying! See, comment ME if you LIKE it.
Mega1ups
Go to world 5-6. Get a Fire Flower. Once you get to thepipe where you can shout fireballs do that. Once you do it six times or less a mega mushroom will popout of the pipe. Get it. When you get to the flagpole DO NOT JUMP! Just run it over.
How To Get To Fire Flower World
In world 3 first castle, go through the door with the up arrow and go through the hole on the left. Go through the pipe and when you do, the cannon will be unlocked.
1up GOOMBAS!
To find this you need to go to World 2-4 (my favorite level) and go inside a gold pipe that is after the midway flag (HAVE A TANOOKI LEAF! ). Go under the pipe you came from and wait for the Goombas to come to you and then hold the B button and jump and flutter with the Tanooki leaf and stomp on the Goombas but remember to hold the B button.
Star House in the Game!
If you beat world 9 and get all star/moon coins, you will get a mushroom house that has a star in it.
Unlockables & Awards
Mario Can Lose His Hat!
If you can keep getting 1-ups until you get 1110 lives (the Triple Crown), when you play, Mario won't have his hat anymore!
Unlockable Rainbow Levels
Alternate Title Screen
You can get an alternate title screen - with Gold Mario - you need to collect "only" 1,000,000 coins! Yeah, that's right, just a million coins is all you have to collect. Once you do that, that title screen will be the new one.
