In PERFECT DARK you assume the role of Joanna Dark, a secret agent working for the secret Carrington Institute. Your mission is to rescue a kidnapped scientist and unravel the mystery of the dataDyne Corporation. Along the way you will get mixed up in alien conspiracies, government cover-ups with people trying to kill you at every turn! PERFECT DARK also features and incredible Multi-Player mode with support for up to four human players and 12 simulants.

Hints, Secrets, Glitches & Easter Eggs

 

Messed Up For: Cassandra De Vries, Mr. Blonde, And Two Of Cassandra's Guards

There are three ways you can do this. Either on agent, or super or perfect agent. If you do this on super or perfect, it will be lit, if on regular, it will be dark and you will need your night vision on. What you do is go under solo mission and click on dataDyne Central - Extraction and you click on either of the agents, what you do is, (here I'm going to do like a walkthrough, so bare with me.) btw, this is with super agent.
The lights are off, put on your night vision, now go to the slide door and shoot the guard behind the table, then open the next door, and shoot him, then shoot the 2 guards behind those blue barrel like things, then go back to where you came from and go left, you will find another guard, shoot him then go around the corner. Shoot them two guards behind the counter, then go around the next corner. Another guard is around it, shoot him, then you will see a door after you go past him, try to open it. It will not open so go up the stairs and you will see those barrel things again, shoot the guards behind them and call down the elevator. If the lights come on, take of ur night vision, other wise keep them on until they do. Once the elevator comes down, and get in it (don't let Dr. Carol get in it!) close the door quickly and go up. Mission 1 complete. Next it says to destroy the data dyne hovercopter. Wait till the elevator gets you to a floor, then get out. Turn right and go down the hallway. Then turn right and a guard will be behind a table, kill him. Enter the door behind him, and go forward. A guard or 2 of Cassandra's will appear, kill them. Then go to the next room. (the smallest door)and shoot the guard behind it. (watch out for the copter!!!!) After you kill the guard the copter should be starting to shoot at you. Run back to the hallway you were at before. Get into the elevator you didn't get into last time and go up to the next floor. The monment you get to the next floor, the path way is blocked so go the opposite way. There will be 2 guards, shoot them and then go through the 2 double doors. The go around, killing all the guards until you get to where you can go up to the first floor. (again, watch out for the copter!!!!) Once you open the door, go up the steps. Open the door at the top and shoot the guard who is guarding the rocket, wait for the copter to break the glass, then choose the R-launcher to shoot the copter down. Mission 2 complete. You may have to shoot the glass with a gun then choose the launcher to shoot it down! Also, if you missed, go ahead and go into the room with the stairs and go up them and to where Cassandra is - kill her body guards and then objective 3 complete. Go up the ramp and see if there is a rocket out side of the tower, if so, pick it up and then go back inside to the main floor and shoot it down. (if you missed that is)then once all other objectives are complete except for the landing pad, go down back to the foyer and you know that door you couldn't get into the first time, go back to it and there will be those people listed in the submission title above this. You can shoot them and then get to the landing pad and they will be as bloody as you made them. (I'm not sure if you need the card that you need to get to get into Cassandra's office or not, didn't try it.)

Cheese In Pipe

Get a Pheonix gun, and set it on explosivs. Then go to the first level. Kill all the people, then go down the stairs and to the computer on the wall. To the right of the computer there is a pipe. Shoot it with the Pheonix. If a hole does not appear when you shoot it, then shoot it in other places. When the hole appearsgo down the hole and into a room. You will see a window, and in it is a piece of cheese! (Note: Someone talked aboute a peice of cheese in every level already, I guess this is one of them.) And it doesn't end there. When you are in the room shoot the north wall with a Pheonix. Go through the hole and into the room with the boss lady in it.

Throw Remote Mines Faster

To throw Remote Mines at an amazingly fast rate, turn on Unlimited Ammo w/ No Reloads. Hold Z and you will throw the mines very quickly!! Detonate them and they will blow up 5 at a time. I also think the maximum mines that can be out at one time is 50, then they will start disappearing.

Tiny Floating People

In the Cheat menu turn on the cheat Tiny Characters or tiny Jo. Then either watch a cinema or play the game. At the first cinema that you see all the people should be floation and very small. (Does not work for Skedar)

Phoenix Help

On the level Area 51 Rescue, kill all the guys in that first huge room. Then go up the first long elevator in that level. Get off the elevator and go right. There is a guy far away by a door. Kill him and try to open that door. It will say that the door is locked. Stay there for a second. A guy will open the door. Don't shoot him. He will say something and start to run away. Follow him. He will lead you to a elevator. Go in the elevator and you will go up. Get out of the elevator and go through the four doors. Once you go through that fourth door, you'll be in a big room. Go at the end of that room and on a bench is a Phoenix. This will help you during that level because you won't have to use your dragon on that "X" marked spot later on in that level.

Classic Golden-eye Weapons

If you obtain ALL GOLDS, you can actually use the original guns that were used in Goldeneye 007. The guns (including the klo1313) are the strongest guns in the game. Here is a list of the guns:

Land Mine Pattern

In the level "Area 51 - Infiltration," there is a rocket launcher sitting on a helipad surrounded by land mines. Until i figured out the pattern of the mines, I had been using grenades to set them off so I could get the rocket launcher. This does work, but if you are out of grenades, or have baddies shooting at you, you don't have the time to set them off. However, there is a path that you can take in this case. Once you go through the hole in the fence, take a right. Stay close to the fence until you get to the top of a little hill. At this point you must turn left, so hug the wall and turn. Stay with the wall until you reach the far corner of the helipad (about halfway through the snowfield). At this point you may run straight to the helipad to collect the launcher. If you did not go far enough along the wall, you run the risk of hitting a mine, so be careful. After you get the launcher, go to the wall opposite the one you were running along earlier. Stay in the shadow of this wall (dark strip) until you reach an alcove. At this point, you are safe from the mines, and may feel free to get the shield, blow up the interceptor, etc. by crawling through the small passage. Good luck!! *** If you have trouble getting it right, turn on "Jo Shield," "Super Shield," or "Invincibility" in the cheat menu so you can practice.

Black-out-mode

In any level, anywhere, (mainly in Multi-Player), Crouch once and then crouch again. Attempt to crouch a 3rd time and the screen goes black! Release the buttons and the screen returns to normal. I use this when I have remote mines placed and I go crouch up in a corner somewhere. They don't know where you are because they can't look on your screen!

The Updated Target Practice

First, you go to any Datadyne building level where you can look out over the city hint: not the roof. Then, whip out ANY gun that you have and shoot out the glass in the window and have fun. This makes great target practice and by the way, it doesn't work for killing people in the next room.

Disfigured The Enemy's Face

First get an explosive weapon and blast someone's head with it. If done correctly parts of their body will go dark and their face will be disfigured. Note: this is better with a phoenix

Find Ghosts In The Game

There are invisible guards but they are not cloaked, and you can´t see them even using X-ray goggles, farsite or IR Scanner. You can find 2 ghosts in the game. The first one is in Carrington Istitute: Rigth when you start, turn arround and shoot a Rocket (or something explosive) to the wall. The ghost will apear right in front of you. To find the second ghost go to Maian SOS. After killing all the guards at the beginning, get out the lab. Turn right. Here are two guards, one on the left side and the other on the right side. Kill them bouth, and the guy with the the double Magnum-LX too. When you´re finish go right in the middle of the two crio-chamber doors. Take out an explosive (it´s better with a remote mine) and plant it in the floor. Take distance and then... Boom....!!!! The other ghost will appear flying in the air. Creepy don´t??

Rig Area 52

First go to Combat Simulator, and set Area 52 and Remote Mines in slot 5. Then go to the large room with the Sniper Towers. If you go down into the trench, you find remote mines. Stick them all over the room, then get in a tower. Then, KABOOM!!! If you time it just right, you can get multiple kills.

Easy Kills

For easy kills beat the 1st airplane level. Go to multi player and start a player{unless you already have one} and go to weapons. Go to the bottem near the mines and choose laser.After that put it on 1 hit kills. Pick 8 meatsims and go to complex or any level and get to a spot with one entrence and pull out laser. stand at the entrance and put on {short range stream} and shoot it across to the other side of the door and if they walk through they'll be instantly killed.

Fun With Remote Mines

Go to the warehouse, you'll need remote mines in there. Take two or three meatsims into the game. Now, throw the remote mines all over the box that moves (about 50 or so). Then get out of the way! Detonate when a meatsim comes by and it should kill him.

How To Make A Guy Stick To The Ceiling

Go to Area 51-Rescue. Go all the way up to the floor where you make the wall blow up. There are guards on the floor. Get into the elevator before they go down it. Then when your at the top floor, there will be a little roof-like thing that is low. Take out a rocket launcher and shoot one of the guys under the roof-like thing. Shoot at their legs and the guard should fly strait up in the air. If he is under the roof he will stick on to it. Shoot him, his blood will stick to the ceiling too. You can also do this after you enter the blown up wall. Note: Do not have Dk mode on or the trick won't work.

Peek -A- Boo

On challenge 15 you go down the stairs without steps and then (with the briefcase) go straight, but not through the door turn left and go in the dark room and stay there. (Make sure to have a Dragon) Then when somebody comes shoot! Hint: It's better with two people. You might get killed if the simulants have a Devastator.

Perfect Dark Haunted?

The sneaky programmers at Rare probably used this trick as a shortcut to respawn enemies in the solo missions. There are invisible guards (not cloaked), entirely invulnerable to attacks, and you can't even seen them by using the X-Ray scanner or Farsight. To find a ghost, go to the Carrington Institute in solo missions. Equip a rocket launcher or similar weapon. Right where you start turn around and blast a rocket against the wall. A guard will go flying upwards. Take a look at his face as well. Notice anything weird about it? His face and torso look all out of proportion. Rare is using these ‘ghost’s’ as spawing positions for guards that have just died.

How To Get In Pond Punk

Select counter-operative. Then go to Chicago. Pick Agent, Special Agent, or Perfect Agent. Be the bad guy and kill all the other bad guys. Once done, go to the door that leads to Pond Punk. Onse there kill the three gards and take a suicide pill. Then you should end up in Pond Punk. If it does not work the first time, try a couple more times. Note you start out near Jo, then you can't do the trick.

Holes In There Heads

Goto the Area 52 Escape mission or any mission with the white lab suit guys and look at the sides of theyre heads. HOLES! BIG HOLES! What happend to these guys? (This works best if you have cloaking device and sniper rifle cheats on)

KeyCard In DataDyne Building

Goto the dataDyne building level Extraction and kill asll the gaurds on the bottom floor without being seen. If they see you it wont work. Now go up the elavator and look around, there should be a guy around the corner, if not go up the elavator another level and look for him. If you find him shoot him and pick up his keycard. With the keycard you can get in Cassandras office or if you go back to the bottom floor you can go through the locked glass door that leads to the paved road.

G-5 Building Simulation

In The G-5 building put it on combat. Use the Labtop Gun, Falcon 2 (silencer), Gernades, Tranquilizer , Reaper, and disabled. Make sure you put it on one shot kills. Hint: Try to find the blue hallway and setup sentry guns.

Walking On Walls

In pipes, go to the floating elavator and get on it. Then go to the opposite side of the catwalk and jump of the hole in the wall but after you started falling backwaords, back up to the wall. You should be floating in mid air.

When you start the game go into combat simulators. When you are in the combat simulator menu choose CHALLENGES if you open all of them you will have all the multiplayer levels

Shoot Outside Shooting Gallery

First you must go to the basement and find the floating crate push B to grab it. Take it in front of the shooting gallery door. Push B to let go of it and open the door grab it again. Take it through the glass door where you shoot. Turn around while holding onto it and let go of it while the door is open the door shouldn't be able open now. Then go to the computer and push B and pick any gun. You shold now be able to shoot anybody or anything outside the shooting gallery. Using rockets and grenades you can make all of the lights go out. If you shoot the guns in the displays they will disappear. You can shoot outside of the door but if you go past it your gun disappears.

Skedar King Hint

In the skedar shrine for those who do not know how to beat the king you will see a statue over the king, first shoot the bottem left point then shoot the bottem right one, then shoot the middle left one then the middle right one and finally the top one, it should hit him in the head!

Forget The Explosive Box

This hint is for use in the 'Area 51: Rescue' mission: (only tested on AGENT mode). In the beginning of the level you will see a box in front of you that floats around. Forget the box... you will not need it. Instead, do what you usually do, go to the top with the elevator, then get off and go all the way around to the wall. Look to your right. You will see a white metal strip on the wall with a small 'X' on it. Get out your dragon and use it's second feature (proxmity self-destruct), and throw it in front of the 'X'. Now back away, and shoot the Dragon with your Falcon. The explosion will make a hole in the wall. Now you can go through.

Easy Kills With The Slayer

When you have your opponent in your sights and you cannot turn the fly-by-wire rocket around in time, press Z again to self-destruct it.

Quick Shot With Secondary Weapon

The following trick allows a quick shot with the secondary on your weapon (or primary if you are in secondary mode). Hold B and press Z. It is almost exactly like rotating through weapons backwards with A and Z, but you substitute B for A. This works well with the shotgun to get a quick double blast at point blank range, or to quickly throw your dragon as a proximity mine.

Faster Farsight Target Locator

Instead of taking the time to hold B while using the Farsight to locate a target, you can just scope in and hold C-Left or C-Right. This is better, since it does not move as much as the target locator.

Laptop Gun Tricks

To get an "Easy" gold at the target range with the laptop gun, hold B and fire it at the wall behind you. It will turn to a sentry and stick. Just duck down, and get out of the way. It will get you 100% accuracy, and a gold every time. If an enemy has a sentry gun active (laptop gun in its second mode), and you cannot seem to destroy it, just use an XR-20 Farsight with the target locator off. Stand in a nearby room, find it with R, C-Up, and C-Down, then take it out with one shot.

Fall Into Oblivion

This is an odd glitch. First go to combat simulator and select the ruins. Start at the ruins with no simulants and any guns. Go into the big room that connects to the narrow light-brown hallways. This is the biggest room, you can't miss it. Now go to the electric door that sticks when you open it and sparks. Go between this door and turn 90 degrees. Walk forward and backward pausing for a second when you hit the wall and you will fall into black and when you look up a bunch of green. You will then successfully done the glitch and committed suicide.

Easy Challenges

Two people are required to do this code. First, go to combat simulator and go to challenges. Then the second player goes to a pre-made settings. The first player selects challenge and waiting appears. The second player selects the settings and goes to the challenges where the first player went, those settings you selected are now being played and you still get credit for beating the challenge.

Mr. Blonde's Revenge Mission

Successfully complete all solo missions on the Agent, Special Agent, or Perfect Agent difficulty settings.

Trent Easton The Alien

First enter the Chicago mission. Then at the start, turn around and then you will see an alien with trents body.

Floating Knives In Institute

To get floating knives in the Carrington Institute,do as follows. 1. Go to the firing range room and stand between th door that closes while your shooting and the wall. 2. Press start and then pick "Combat Knife" and go to bronze level. 3. Tthen set it to its secondary function and start throwing knives at the door and then after a while they will "float".

Guards Saying Good-bye

Go to the level Chicago stealth on counter-op. While being the bad guy, go to the alley with the fire escape and kill the CIA agent then the other gaurds there will rush to him and say something like "He was my best friend!"

Dark Difficulty

First you must beat the solo missions on perfect agent mode for this cheat code to work. When you start a new game/level you will see a new option called Dark agent that is much similiar to 007 mode from Goldeneye. It will allow you to mess with enemy stats such as health, accuracy, etc.

Hidden Items

1.1 dataDyne: Defection (Perfect Agent) 
Laptop Gun:The hacker will open a locked door by the elevators.
Dual Falcon: Dropped by the helmeted guard three floors down from the roof. 

1.2 dataDyne Research Investigation: 
Double CMP150: Make it to the weapons cache near downstairs maintenance bots without being seen.
Proximity Mine: On perimeter of isotope room.

1.3 dataDyne Central Extraction: 
DY357 Magnum: Take down the first five guards without being seen.
Grenade & Dragon: make it to the elevator without being detected. Kill the first guard after taking the elevator up. Use the Key Card he drops to access Cassandra's office. Make a hole in the right corner of the room to find the Dragon. 

2 Carrington Villa:
Devastator: Destroy crates on helipad near the villa.
Double CMP150: Kill the first sniper in under 38 seconds.
Perfect Agent: Sniper Rifle: In bathroom next to bedroom.

3.1 Chicago Stealth 
BombSpy: Use barrels to explode dumpster near G5 building. 
Double Falcon 2 (Scope): In Pond Punk bar.

3.2 G5 Building Reconnaissance 
Crossbow: Disarm cloaked guard in first room.
Special and Perfect only: N-Bomb If you blew up the top fire escape in 3.1, it will be near the exit upstairs.

4.1 Area 51 Infiltration 
Double MagSec 4: Kill red guard near comms rider. He'll drop the other MagSec 4.

4.2 Area 51 Rescue
Phoenix: In secret room above hangar.
Double Falcon 2 (Silencer): Explosive barrel lodged in a stack of crates to the right of first hall. 

4.3 Area 51 Escape 
Remote Mines: Get Elvis to safety in under 36 seconds. 
Double Falcon 2 (Scope): Behind you in the glass lab at start.

5.1 Air Base Espionage
Double DY357 Magnum: Punch out the NSA agent near the elevator to the AF1 hangar. 
Proximity Mines: Near beginning of level, past the tunnel on a snowy ledge. 


5.2 Air Force One Anti-Terrorism 
Double Cyclone: Punch the two Secret Service agents in the room straight ahead after the start. Their Key Cards each open a closet containing a Cyclone. 

5.3 Crash Site Confrontation 
Proximity Mine: Visit Elvis at his UFO.
Double DY357 -LX: Disarm Trent as he runs by you after rescuing the President.

6.1 Pelagic II Exploration 
Double Falcon 2 (Silencer): Do not trigger an alarm. Make it to the guard four doors from the start. Kill him and he'll drop the Double Falcon.

6.2 Deep Sea Nullify Threat
Proximity Mines: Just past the tunnel after the large cavern (near beginning), kill the guard to the left. He'll cough up the mines.

7 Carrington Institute Defense 
Devastator: Save a single hostage in the information center.

8 Attack Ship Covert Assault 
Double Mauler: Kill the Skedar in the center of the bridge.

9 Skedar Ruins Battle Shrine
Double Phoenix: Destroy two unmarked temple targets with the Devastator. The Phoenix will appear on the ledge before the canyon.

10 Mr. Blonde's Revenge 
Double CMP150: Kill Cassandra's bodyguards near the lab elevator. 

11 Maian SOS

Hit Eveybody With Knives

Use this trick to hurl knives everybody on the upper level of the institute. First take the crate into the firing range, select combat knives on bronze, switch to throwing, and throw knives at the crate for two minutes. Then plant a single remote mine on the crate, but don't detnate it. Take the crate upstairs to either the device room, the info room, or Carrington's room. Go back to the firing range and detonate the mine, you may have to hit the detonator more than once, but you can hear or at least feel the explosion. Then go to the device room, IF YOU LEFT THE CRATE THERE, DO NOT PICK UP THE KNIVES YET. Select a device for training, if the knives are in the device room anything will do, if they are in the info room, anything but the diguise, if in Carrington's room, select cloak and use a spairingly as possible. Carrington won't see you if you are behind him or on the other side of the table.

Shoot Rockets Into The Institute

First, go to the hanger and get the crate. Take it up to the firing range and use it to prop open the OUTSIDE DOOR, to the rest of the institute. Go into the firing range and stand in the glass doorway, just far enough in so you can press START and choose the weapon. Select Slayer on bronze. When the training starts the door will try to close, but you should be in its way. You can then use the fly-by-wire rockets to fly around the institue, just don't hit the crate on the way out. You can blow up couches, lights, and even go into the hanger. If you do fly outside, try two things. First, turn up and towards the building when you get to the room with the hover bike, you will see the outside of the enterance, go right and up a little, and look down, you should the cheese sitting on the buiding. Keep flying towards the right, eventually you will magically appear inside the institute again. Have Fun!

Night Vision Ending

Turn your night vision goggles on just before the end of a level.

Glitch #2

For this glitch you need combat knives. Pull out your combat knife/knives and put them on poison throwing knife then hold the Z button. Whilst holding the Z button change to knife slash then let go of the Z button and you will be able to slash people with the handle/s of your knife/knives.

Glitch #1

Go to Complex in multiplayer with any settings and find a ramp (there are 4). Go underneath the ramp and walk straight into the bottom of the ramp and you should go straight through it! This can come in handy for a quick getaway.

Carington Institute Fun

Go to the Carrington Institute and get the crate from the hanger and bring it to the shooting range. Place the crate between the door opening to stop it from closing. This way you can through knives at the two guys there. Try out other weapons too.

Where to Destroy Flying Cars

In any of the levels in the DataDyne Building go to the floors where you can look out and see cars flying. Shoot the glass and gaze out over the night sky. Shoot any of the cars with the CMP150 and they will blow up PS: Great way to kill people in the room next to you.

Shortcut in Mission One

This trick helps you in no way during the solo missions, but it's still pretty cool. First you have to unlock the grenade launcher and actavate it. Then, in mission one, after you get off the roof and kill the 1st guy, go through the doors. Then kill the 2nd guy. Turn the corner and blast a grenade at the pipe. Then go down the pipe. You will be in a small room. Blast away at the walla nd go through! You will be in Cassandra's office! Objective one is in the bag! P.S. This works really well to fool the other person in counter-operative mode.

Team Motivation

During a game in multi-player mode, hold A to display the quick menu. Press Z(2) and you can control who attacks, and who stays with you. There are a few selections to choose from, which do the following: Normal: Simulant will killing everything that moves on their random path. Hold: Simulant will attack nearby enemies while holding their ground. Defend: Simulant will chase down any nearby enemies. Attack: Simulant stalks the person you tell it to attack. Follow: Simulant follows you, but chases after nearby enemies. Protect: Simulant stays close to you and attacks nearby enemies.

Multi-player Mode

Keep moving -- standing still makes you an easy target for automatic weapons. When playing against sims (Meat, Easy, or Normal varieties), shoot weapons and ammo boxes out of their normal respawn locations then collect them. The weapon or ammo will respawn where you picked it up. Simulants will think that it has been picked up and pass it by without looking. When with your back to a corner and low health, arm a grenade or n-bomb by holding Z. Run at your opponent -- there is a chance you can also kill him. When using cloaking devices, go for easy kills by using combat knives. Slashing with the knives will allow you to stay cloaked and give you a chance to get in some damage. The larger your character, the faster you go. Mr. Blonde is the fastest and the aliens are the slowest. The best character to use is a Maian soldier with Biotecnition head. If you are holding double guns you will take double damage.

Easy Medals in Combat Simulator

To earn medals for your record in the combat simulator (accuracy, head shot, kill master, and survivor) log in your record for player one. Leave player two as it is already set. Shoot player two in the head each time until you have about ten kills. Quit and you should have all four medals. To earn all medals much quicker, load your character and start a second character. Then, set the options for a level you know well and is rather small. Set the game for one kill wins with an accurate weapon, such as the Falcon. When you start the game, get the Falcon, find the second character, and shoot them in the head. This is much faster than killing the other player many times. You will get all four medals every time if you only use one bullet to kill the second character.

Circle Attacks

This is a simple move, but priceless to master. Hold Analog-stick Left + C-Right. You will circle an invisible point in the center. Practice doing this around a crate, trying to keep your gun cursor/sights on top of it. Also, try doing this with holding Analog-stick Right and C-Left to circle in the other direction. This makes will make you harder to hit, but will keep the enemy in your sights at the same time. If your sight starts to drift from your target, just adjust your angle on the Analog-stick.

Fast Running

Turn left or right until your cursor is approximately 30 degrees to the left or right of where you want to run to. Then, hold Analog-stick Forward (Up) + C-Right. You will run diagonally, but once you get used to it, you will be able to get to places faster. This is useful for running from friends in multi-player mode and also for meeting target times in single player mode.

Quicker Reloads

Just switch to the weapon before the current weapon, then quickly switch back. Practice doing this to get it faster each time. This will save time and health. It will not be as fast as in GoldenEye 007, but it is better than the regular method. Note: This does not work with the shotgun or crossbow, and is not recommended with the laptop gun.

Slower Slayer Fly-by-Wire Rocket

When you have the slayer, change it to the secondary mode. When you fire the rocket hold R to make it go slower for easier turns and maneuvering. Release the button to send it speeding towards your opponent/enemy.

Target Practice in Datadyne Levels

While in any of the Datadyne levels, either from the roof or from a broken window (windows can be shot out), shoot the passing vehicles to blow them up.

Human Pincushion at Firing Range

The training man at the firing range at the Carrington Institute can be used as a human pincushion. Use poison dipped throwing knifes to throw out of the room. Just move to the position to shoot out of the range and use the throwing knifes on him.

Shoot at Other People at Firing Range

Go to the firing range in the Carrington Institute. After entering the firing range, turn around and make sure the door is open. Keep moving forward until you block the door from closing. If done correctly, you will still be able to choose a weapon and use it. You can shoot at the people in the other room, but cannot hit or kill them. You can also use explosives and blow up the lights -- the room will be black until the game is restarted.

Farsight at Firing Range

Use the Farsight at the firing range and aim through the walls. You can blow up chairs and computers in other rooms of the Carrington Institute. You can also shoot the classic 007 weapons in the hallway outside the firing range.

Easy Firing Range Golds

Select the laptop gun and put it on bronze. Hold B, turn around, and pull the trigger. Immediately press Start, before Joanna can throw the gun, and abort. Then quickly press Start again and select any other weapon from the menu. Set it on Gold (or whatever), and as soon as the target range starts, the sentry gun will get thrown out and stuck to the wall. This trick can get you most of the golds.

Completing All Challenges Easily

Have player one select "Combat Simulator" and choose "Advanced Setup". Have player two press Start. Have player one select "Load Settings" on the advanced setup menu, but do not not select any setup yet -- just remain at the "Load Game Settings" menu. Have player two select the challenge to be completed in the advanced setup menu. Then, have player two press Start until the green "...and waiting" screen appears. Have player one select the desired game settings in the "Load Game Settings" menu. Note: You must have a custom or pre-made setup -- you cannot alter it after it is loaded. Player one can drop out or join the game -- it does not matter, however, staying in will give you two stars instead of just one. This trick can also be used in the three or four player challenges.

Raise Multi-Player Characters Rank Quickly

Set all the weapons to Callisto, four Simulants to perfect, and the stage to the Facility (in advanced setup). Then, keep restarting your game until you start in the airducts or somewhere nearby. Make sure no simulants are near you. Get the Callisto next to the urinal in the bathroom and place yourself against the door. Set the gun to high impact shells. When someone tries to open the door they will not be able to because you will be against it. You will be able to shoot them repeatedly through the doors without giving them a chance, because the game will not let them restart in the airducts. Keep doing this until your rank is as high as it will go (level 1).

1000% Handicap Advantages

In advanced setup, set the handicap up to 1000%. You will not die as much, and can get better medals.

Kill Elvis, Mario-style

Go to the Skeder spaceship and find Elvis. When he wants you to go to the elevator, go there. You should arrive on the top floor first. Look where Elvis is then jump on him and he should die.

Get Locked in Closet

Select co-operative mode, then go to the Air Force One: Anti-Terrorism level. Have both players go to the room with the ramp that leads to the President's floor. There will be two guards standing there (one might not be there yet -- he will walk in, so wait there for him). Knock them out and they will drop two key cards for the closet doors on the side of the room. Have each player open their closets (the closets contain the level's secret weapon -- Double Cyclones). Then, run across to the other player's closet and enter before it closes. Since you have switched closets you will not have that key card and will be locked in.

Daniel Carrington Comments

Go to the firing range in the Carrington Institute and kneel all the way down. Start moving around in front of Daniel Carrington and he will say things such as "Stop it Joanna, that worries me!". In the Carrington Villa: Hostage One level in solo mode, shoot out all the bottles at the end of the level. Once they are all destroyed, you will hear Daniel Carrington say, "Act your age, Joanna."

More Simulants

To get more Simulant buddies in co-operative mode, complete it on different difficulty settings. If co-op is completed on the Agent difficulty setting, then two simulants will accompany you. If it is completed on the Secret Agent setting, three will accompany you. And if it is completed on the Perfect Agent setting, four will be able to accompany you.

Invisible During Ending

Collect the Cloaking Device in the game, then activate it just before the end of a level. Your character will be invisible during the ending sequence.

X-Ray Mode Ending

Collect the X-Ray Scanner in the game, then activate it just before the end of a level. The ending sequence will play in X-Ray mode.

See weapons from GoldenEye 007

Go to the hallway where the target practice is in the Carrington Institute (select Carrington Institute on the select mode screen) and you will see weapons from GoldenEye 007 (Klob, KF7 Solviet, RCP-90, AR 33 Assault Rifle, etc.)

Every single player mission has a piece of cheese hidden in a location that has nothing to do with your mission objectives.

Maian SOS mission

Successfully complete all solo missions on the Special Agent or Perfect Agent difficulty settings.

Successfully complete all solo missions on the Perfect Agent difficulty setting.

Collect all weapons in the solo missions and achieve a Bronze rating or higher for each weapon at the firing range.

Run through the door to the FBI agent and punch him out. Run to the alleyway on the right. Punch out the guard and the two CIA agents. Pause game play and take out your gun. Kill the FBI agent through the door. Push the dumpster on the wall to reveal the explosive canisters. Shoot the canisters and blow them up. When the dumpster is blown up, take the white briefcase. Shoot the guards. Run through the door. Run through the door on your immediate left. Throw a Tracer Bug on the Limo. Go to the storm drain. Get the remote mine. Run back to the room with the fire escape. Go to the fire escape and kill the two guards. Throw a Remote Mine on the door. Run to the bottom of the fire escape. Make sure there are no guards nearby, then take out your Bomb Spy. Move your Bomb Spy to the car port. Blow up the guards with the Bomb Spy. Run to the carport to complete the mission.

Use the following trick to hide your screen to prevent ambushes in multi-player mode. Hold R and press C-Down(2) to duck all the way down. When you are low to the ground, hold R + C-Down to hide your screen. Try to duck even lower when you are as low as you can get. Turn off radar to add to the fun.
