All published and official codes as of Saturday May 25, 2013 for SSX are shown below. We also have this game on PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and sometimes tricks from other game systems will also work on PlayStation 2.
CheatCodes
Run With Your Board
At the Options menu,Hold R1+L1+R2+L2 and press Square, Triangle, Triangle, X, Square, Triangle, Circle, X. Start the race and you should be able to run down the track with your board on you back.
Cheat Mode
At the options screen, hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 and press Down, Left, Up, Right, X, Circle, Triangle, Square to unlock all courses, characters, boards, and costumes. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound. Repeat this code to disable it.
Everything Being Unlocked
Hold L1 L2 R1 R2 and inter down left up right x circle triangle square if you get it right you will here a sound hint: you have to do this cheat code at the options menu.
Play The Japanese Version
From the Options menu, choose to play the Japanese version of the game by holding L1, L2, R1 and R2 and pressing Square, X (7 times).
Faster Speed
At the options menu(press square at the main menu), Hold L1+L2+R1+R2 and press X, X, X, X, X, X, X. You will hear a sound to comfirm the code. Note: It will not say the speed is higher at the character info screen.
All Course Hints
At the options screen, hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 and press Circle, X, Circle, X, Circle, X, Circle, X to view all course hints before racing a course. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound. Repeat this code to disable it. NOTE: This makes load times for the course take a really LONG time! It cycles through all of the hints for the course instead of just showing one.
Maximum Attributes
At the options screen, hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 and press X(7), Square. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound. Alternately, hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 and press Circle(5), X, Triangle, Square. For the Japanese version of the game, hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 and press Square, X(7). Repeat this code to disable it.
Running Man Mode
At the options screen, hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 and press Square, Triangle, Circle, X, Square, Triangle, Circle, X. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound. Repeat this code to disable it.
Mallora Board
At the options screen, hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 and press X(4), Triangle(4). If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound. Note: You cannot change boards unless you enter the code a second time to disable it.
Hints, Tips, Tricks, Secrets, Glitches & Easter Eggs
Boost At Start Of Race
Press Forward during countdown at start of a race. Note: This sometimes only works in the second and third rounds.
Saving Time
When you go off a jump, do not do tricks. Doing tricks actually slows you down in the air. Also, press Jump before the edge of the jump. This way, you do not go as high, which helps you maintain more momentum. You will also go faster when you land. These tatics also decrease chances of wiping out.
Tokyo Megaplex Shortcut
When you see the fan in the beginning hit the button in front of the ramp. After you hit that button go up the ramp. If you time it right and the fan is off you will break through the fan and land in a tunnel that will save you a lot of time.
Pipe Dream Shortcut
In pipe dream when you do the switchback thing in the beginning where there is an area where you have to go through a little passage and when you come out you are on a grind or you go into the bowls. Before you go through that passage look to the right or left. There is a vertical pipe that leads through a tunnel over the bowls.
Merquiry City Meltdown Tip
In one section you will see a metal rail, mesh thing. You can grind on it into an office building. Be sure not to hit anything or you will "white screen" out. White screen is like pressing select. If you make it through you will gain a nice head start on the other players.
Halo Effect On Character
Complete all Black Diamond difficulty tricks in each characters trick books.
Mercury City Meltdown Course
Earn a medal on the Elysium Alps course to unlock the Mercury City Meltdown course.
Mesablanca Course
Earn a medal on the Mercury City Meltdown course to unlock the Mesablanca course.
Tokyo Megaplex Course
Earn a medal on the Mesablanca course to unlock the Tokyo Megaplex course.
Aloha Ice Jam Course
Earn a medal on the Tokyo Megaplex course to unlock the Aloha Ice Jam course.
Pipedream Course
Earn a medal on the Tokyo Megaplex course to unlock the Pipedream course.
Untracked Course
Earn a medal on the Aloha Ice Jam course to unlock the Untracked course.
Play As Jurgen
Earn one gold medal in any mode to unlock Jurgen.
Play As JP
Earn two gold medals in any mode to unlock JP.
Play As Zoe
Earn three gold medals in any mode to unlock Zoe.
Play As Hiro
Earn four gold medals in any mode to unlock Hiro.
Third Costume
Successfully complete all green circle tricks to unlock the third costume.
Fourth Costume
Successfully complete all blue square tricks to unlock the fourth costume.
Third Board
Reach the rookie rank to unlock the third board.
Fourth Board
Reach the sensei rank to unlock the fourth board.
Fifth Board
Reach the contender rank to unlock the fifth board.
Sixth Board
Reach the natural rank to unlock the sixth board.
Seventh Board
Reach the star rank to unlock the seventh board.
Eighth Board
Reach the veteran rank to unlock the eighth board.
Ninth Board
Reach the champ rank to unlock the ninth board.
Tenth Board
Reach the superstar rank to unlock the tenth board.
