Hold the z button before you turn on the gamecube and then turn it on.
Have four controllers connected and hold all four "z" buttons. Then press the power button. You'll get a cool Japanese startup sound.
If the gamecube says no disc, please insert (insert game here)just put in the game. If the gamecube says something about an error turn off the gamecube and clean the sensor thing (the thing that reads the disc ) by wetting a tip of a paper towel and damp it then dry it. It should work for a long period of time have fun with your gamecube.
Turn on the game system. Hold the "B" button down, and it will ask you a question. Answer yes and something will happen.
To get to the special menu, turn the Gamecube on when there's no game in it. At the special menu you can set the day and time, hoose thee screen position and type of sound,you can also view how much memory you're using, move memory to another memory card, nd delete stuff that you normaly can't delete.
If the L or R Buttons are pressed or the Control Stick or C Stick or are moved out of neutral position when the power is turned ON, those positions will be set as the neutral position, causing incorect game control during game play. To reset the controler, release all buttons and sticks to allow them to return to the correct neutral position, then hold down the X,Y, and START/PAUSE Buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.
Note: If you hold down A long enough it will bring to the system start up menu, which is good if you want to go there but dont want to take the game out of the system.
Hold down the A button during the game cube logo to make it spin.
Power on the GameCube, then hold Z while the GameCube logo is forming to hear a different start-up sound.
