Reset Car
If your car crashes you don't want to go reverse then stop and then go again. to get out of your crash push left on the control stick and A+B+C-down+C-left to put your car back in the middle of the track.
Cheat Mode
At the "Press Start" screen, press L + R, C-Left, C-Right, L + R. Press Start, then at the mode selection screen, hold Z and tap L until "Cheat mode" appears at the bottom of the screen. Cheat mode includes special modes and the option to unlock bonus cars.

Go Faster
When on time trial reverse back and then go foward. This will build up your speed over the start line
