I completed the game 100% yesterday and am happy to say I did it without a
walkthrough, due to them being non-existent at this time. So I thought I'd try
my part at writing an FAQ to try and help some fellow gamers out! Took me about
4 hours to write this whole thing out and about 2 more hours to make sure it
was proofread and properly structured.

Fixed the walkthrough for The Haunted Restroom with information provided by
Scott McKinnon. The reason I didn't have this right was because I had only done
Cawlin's Note myself. Also added quest start point of speaking to Henya in the
Academy's Mess Hall to The Haunted Restroom. Credits for that find also go to
Scott.

                     -----<2.00>Introduction<2.00>-----
                     ==================================



Gratitude Crystals are obtained in Skyloft and Pumpkin Landing. Completing
requests for residents will reward you with 5 Gratitude Crystals per person,
which you can show to Batreaux to help him become human. You can also find
stray single Gratitude Crystals at night scattered around Skyloft and Pumpkin
Landing.

You can receive up to 65 Gratitude Crystals upon completing all of the
requests that are found in the game. There are 15 Crystals found individually
scattered around Skyloft and Pumpkin Landing.

in Skyloft

Who:

Woman(Wryna), standing at the top of bridge on the way back to
Skyloft's Bazaar


Directions:

Speak to Wryna and she will tell you about her lost daughter, Kukiel.
After speaking to her, head towards the graveyard and talk to the woman with
the "quest bubble" above her head (Orielle). She will then tell you about an
old man who rambled on about monsters, who spends his days at the Lumpy
Pumpkin. Fly east and enter the giant pumpkin shaped building. Enter and speak
to the old man sitting at the table who will ask you if you believe his story.
Say yes, and he will explain that he saw a monster push the gravestone next to
the tree in the graveyard, which opened up the storage shed. Skyloft and go
to sleep in any bed until nightfall. When you wake up, travel to the graveyard
and stand next to the tree. Look at the gravestone closest to the tree, pull
it, and then roll into it. The storage shed door should open. Climb down the
ladder and follow the scaffolding to the small hut under Skyloft. When you
enter, you will find Batreaux and Kukiel. After his spiel of saying how he
dislikes being a monster and how he wants to be a human, leave his shack and
head to a bed to sleep. When you wake up, find Wryna and speak to her, she will
reward you with 5 Gratitude Crystals.

Who:

Man standing in Skyloft Plaza(Parrow)


Directions: 

Speak to Parrow in the Plaza and he will tell you that his sister went missing
after saying she was going to go see a "colorful island". Leave Skyloft and
head West-South-West towards the colorful island(Fun Fun Island) on the map.
Take note of the speed portal between Fun Fun Island and Skyloft, and travel
to the small island slightly south of this. Land on this island and you will
find Parrow's sister, Orielle, who will tell you that her Loftwing is hurt and
requires medicine. Return to Parrow at the Skyloft Plaza and tell him what
happened. He will then give you a bottle of Mushroom Spores which you are then
to take back to Orielle. When you give her the Spores, she applies them to her
Loftwing who makes a quick recovery. She will then thank you and reward you
with 5 Gratitude Crystals. Return to Parrow at the Skyloft Plaza and speak to
him and he will reward you with 5 Gratitude Crystals for saving his sister.

Who:

Larger man(Dovos) at the food court in the Skyloft Bazaar OR Old lady(Henya) in
the Academy Mess Hall


Directions: 

Speak to Dovos in the Bazaar or Henya in the Academy Mess Hall and they will
tell you how there are rumors of a woman moaning in the Dormitory Restroom in
the Academy at night. Head to a bed till nightfall. When you wake up head to
the restroom next to the mess hall on the base floor of the Academy. A voice
will call out saying that they need paper. Head back to a room and rest till
morning then run back over to the rest room and Cawlin will be standing facing
the wall acting very upset. Speak to him and he will give you a Love Note. You
have the choice to either use this as toilet paper for the woman in the
restroom at night, or you can deliver it. If you choose to use it as toilet
paper, head to a bed and rest until nightfall and return to the restroom
providing the hand with the love note. Leave and then go to sleep in a bed
until morning. From there head to Cawlin's room where the hand will be stroking
Cawlin and will then reward you with 5 Gratitude Crystals. *Thanks tp Scott for
this info, as I only completed Cawlin's Note personally. If you choose to
deliver the note, you need to go to the classroom on the ground floor and give
the note to Karane. She will read the letter and say that she wonders what
Pipit would say. Go upstairs and tell Pipit about Cawlin giving Karane and Love
Note and he will become flustered and say about how it’s his duty to make sure
people experience love correctly and such. Leave him and go speak again to
Cawlin informing him that you delivered the note. After speaking to him, head
back to the classroom where a short cut scene triggers where Cawlin runs off
crying and Pipit and Karane start dating. Speak to either Pipit or Karane to be
rewarded with 5 Gratitude Crystals.

Have Stamina Potion unlocked at Bazaar's Potion Shop

Who:

Fledge in his room at night


Directions:

Speak to Fledge and he will mention how he wished he had more stamina. Go to
sleep until morning and head to the Bazaar and purchase a Stamina Potion. Go
back to sleep until nightfall, and speak to Fledge again. He will ask for the
potion. Give it to him. He will then begin training. Upon returning, speak
to him on the path between the Plaza and Kukiel's House. He will ask you to
come visit him at night. Return to his room after resting until nightfall, in
which time he will ask you for another dose of Stamina Potion. Go buy him
another bottle and return to him and give it to him. After waiting for another
while, return to him at night and he will tell you how happy he is you helped
him and reward you with 5 Gratitude Crystals.

Who:

Bertie in The Potion Shop Owner, Bertie's House


Directions:

Go visit Bertie in the Bazaar. He will tell you about how he's tired and can't
sleep at night. Go rest in a bed until nightfall and visit him at his home.
Once you speak to him, he will explain that a bird stole his baby's rattle.
From here, go outside and to the Skyloft Caves found beneath the Waterfall.
Once at the entrance, aim up to the small floating island with vines on one
side, almost directly above the cave, with your Clawshot. Climb up to the 
waterfall and proceed to the opposite side. Dive off the dirt path and land on
the nest. Use your Gust Bellows to uncover the rattle in the center of the
nest, and return it to Bertie. He will then give you a reward of 5 Gratitude
Crystals.

		 <3.06> Fun Fun Island's Sad Sad Situation
               ==============================================

Prerequisite:

Obtain the Goddess Harp

Who:

Dodoh in the center of Fun Fun Island


Directions:

Head to Fun Fun Island, directly west of Skyloft. When you land there, speak to
the sad-looking Dodoh. He will explain that he lost the disk on his back and
can't make people happy without it. After you agree to find it for him, Fi will
add the Dowsing feature for the disk. After a quick dowse you will be able to
find that the disk is at the Lanayru Desert. Go down the amber light into the
desert and choose the Desert Entrance. Turn left and activate the TimeShift
Stone near the mine cart, and climb the vine wall produced by this TimeShift.
Follow the path, and shimmy along the ledge. On the other side is the Fun Disk.
Call for Scrapper to come pick it up, and then travel back to Fun Fun Island
to obtain your reward of 5 Gratitude Crystals, and access to the High Dive
Mini-Game.

Prerequisite:

Complete Chandelier Replacement Side Quest Chain

Who: 

Kina in the pumpkin patch outside the Lumpy Pumpkin.


Directions:

Speak to Kina in the pumpkin patch outside the Lumpy Pumpkin, and she will tell
you to find someone to help plough the pumpkin fields. After the conversation,
Fi will then add the Dowsing function to find a suitable worker. Head to Eldin
Volcano and follow your Dowsing reaction into the cave at the base of the
mountain. Dive down onto the platform with the older looking Mogma. He'll tell
you he wishes he could do something better with his life. Tell him that you
have something for him, and have Scrapper carry him back to Pumpkin Landing
after speaking with him. Speak to Kina and she will ask him if he would like
to work for her. At first he declines, then she feeds his ego which quickly
changes his mind. She will then reward you with 5 Gratitude Crystals.

Prerequisite:

Once Sparrot(The Fortune Teller) doesn't show up at his stall.

Who:

Croo, one of the men at the food court in the Bazaar


Directions:

Speak to Croo once you notice that Sparrot didn't show up for work at his
stall. Croo will tell you that Sparrot broke his crystal ball and is sitting
at home, depressed. Go visit Sparrot in his home. He will tell you how he broke
his crystal ball and how it was found by his ancestors below the clouds. Fi
will then add the Dowsing feature to find a new crystal ball for him. Head to
Eldin Volcano and land outside the Earth Temple. Head to the western side of
the entrance and ride the geyser up to the platform where the replacement
crystal can be found. Call for Scrapper to pick it up and return to Sparrot
who will thank you for finding him a new one. You will be rewarded with 5
Gratitude Crystals.

Prerequisite:

Have Stricht find the Bug Haven in Thunderhead


Quest Item Acquired:

Beedle's Insect Cage


Who:

Beedle on Beedle's Island at night


Directions:

Enter Beedle's AirShop and sleep in the bed across from his bike until
nightfall. When you wake up, go outside and you'll find him next to a fire,
upset about his missing beetle. Tell him you will look for it. Return to the
AirShop and go to sleep until morning. Leave Beedles shop and head for
Thunderhead. Once inside, head to the larger western island within Thunderhead,
and land on the landing platform where Stricht is standing, waiting. Speak to
him and he will admit taking Beedle's Beetle and says he will give it back if
you can best his Expert Bug Catching Challenge in under 90 seconds. Take his
challenge and complete it within the time limit for Stricht to return the
beetle's cage to you and for him to apologize for the worry he caused. Return
to Beedle's AirShop and sleep until night again. Meet him by his fire and
provide him with his beetle's cage. He will reward you with 5 Gratitude
Crystals.

Flirt with Peatrice(Item Check) through-out the game

Directions:

Start flirting with Peatrice early on in the game once she has the "quest
bubble" above her head. As you progress, Peater(Bamboo Island) will tell you
he thinks that someone is trying to take his "baby girl" from him and asks you
to get rid of him. Speak to Peatrice and either break off the connection or
tell her you like her. If you choose to break it off, speak to Peater and he
will reward you with 5 Gratitude Crystals. If you choose to like Peatrice, she
will reward you with 5 Gratitude Crystals.

Pipit's Mother(Mallara) in Pipit's house at night.


Directions:

Visit Mallara in Pipit's house at night and she will say how she wishes
someone could clean the house for her. Offer to clean it. Remove all the
dust and lighten up the room for her with the Gust Bellows, and she will reward
you with 5 Gratitude Crystals.

Who:

Instructor Owlan in his room in the Knight's Academy


Directions:

Go speak with Instructor Owlan in his room and he will tell you that he has
found every possible species of plant and wishes for you to try and find him a
new specimen to study. Fi will then add the Dowsing function to the Master
Sword. Head off to Faron Woods and follow the Dowsing function to the eastern
plateau where the Kikwis hid after you found them all the first time. You will
find Oolo, a Kikwi who is afraid of the forest and wishes he could go
somewhere safer. Tell him you know of a place and have Scrapper come pick him
up. Travel back to Instructor Owlan and he will thank you for finding a
species that is both plant and animal. He will then reward you with 5
Gratitude Crystals.

            <3.00>Scattered Individual Gratitude Crystals<3.00>
            ===================================================

Please be aware that it is possible to find these yourself easily, after you
upgrade your sword to the White Goddess Longsword. Fi will add the Gratitude
Crystal Dowsing option to your sword after any given quest or after obtaining
a stray Gratitude Crystal. Note that when you are searching for stray
Gratitude Crystals, do so after nightfall.

               ==============================================
		     <4.10> Skyloft Gratitude Crystals
               ==============================================

1) Found in Link's Room on his desk.

2) On the second floor of the Knight's Academy, at the northern end of the 
hallway.

3) In of the Sparring Hall, above the Sparring Instructor in the
rafters.
**Beetle Required to obtain

4) Leave the Knight's Academy and go to the 1st floor entrance door. From there
head south down the bridge, and to your right you will see a diving platform
with a Goddess Chest on a small island directly in front of you. Dive off
the platform and lean to land on the lower platform. Once there, turn around
and you will see a small platform with vines leading back up to the main
island of Skyloft. Dive off of the Goddess Chest platform and lean to this
landing. The Crystal will be directly next to you.

5) Inside Parrow and Orielle's house south of the Bazaar, in the corner of the
room.

6) Near the pumpkin patch found across the path from the stepping stone that
leads to Skyloft caves.

7) North of the Bazaar, just off the scaffolding path under the ledge.

8) Travel through the Skyloft Caves to the exit. Once on the other side,
you will find the crystal next to the Bird Statue.

9) Continue from Crystal #8 and head down the path to the small cave. The
Crystal is inside.

10) At the bottom of the Light Tower.

11) Use the method given in "<3.05> Missing Baby Rattle>" to get on the
Waterfall. Where you go to dive off to obtain the Rattle, turn right and
the Crystal will be in the hip-deep water next to the rock separating the
water flow.
**Clawshot required to obtain

12) Go to the roof of the Knight's Academy and you will see a chimney with a
Clawshot emblem inside. Drop inside the chimney where you will see Gaepora
bathing through a grate. Turn right and climb through the crawlspace and drop
into Zelda's room. The crystal will be in here along with a heart piece in her
wardrobe.

13) In the storage shed under the Lumpy Pumpkin on a shelf.

14) On the 2nd floor of the Lumpy Pumpkin.

15) Follow the instructions to get to Beedle's Island found in "<3.09> 
Beedle’s Missing Beetle". Once you arrive, leave the ship and climb on top or
