When you first begin the game professor Birch will start talking to you. After he is 
finished talking you will have to answer if you are a boy or a girl. Then you have 
to choose a name. These are your choices if you picked boy; Landon, Terry, Seth, and 
Tom. These are your choices if you picked girl; Terra, Kimmy, Nicola, and Sara. You 
can choose new name on both boy and girl. Professor Birch will start talking again 
and you will see a picture of you. You will be in a moving truck. Walk out of the 
truck. 

              - - - - - - - - - - - LittleRoot Town - - - - - - - - - - - 
 
When you come out of the truck your mom will speak to you. She will tell you it must 
be tiring riding in the back of the moving truck with all of our stuff and she will 
say that you moved to LittleRoot Town. Then you will go inside. Your mom will start 
talking to you again. She will tell you to go check out your room and tell you that 
dad bought a new clock to mark our move here and don’t for get to set it. Then use 
the control pad and go to the stairs and go up them. When you get up there go in 
front of the clock and press A. After that use the control pad to set the clock to 
the right time. When you have the right time set press A. It will ask you if the 
time is correct? Choose yes or no. Then go down stairs. Your mom will be watching TV 
and she will ask you to come over there. You will go over there and start watching 
the TV. After that she will ask you to go next door and meet professor Birch. Go 
next door and go inside. Then your mom will speak to you. When she is finished 
speaking go up stairs. Go to the desk and talk to your rival Brandon/May. When 
Brandon/May is done talking she will walk away. Go down stairs and go outside. Go to 
route 101 at the top of town. The kid that was guarding route 101 will let you by. 

                 - - - - - - - - - - - Route 101 - - - - - - - - - - - 

Professor Birch is being chased by a wild pokemon. He will ask you to save him. Go 
to his bag and choose one of three pokemon; Treecko, Torchic, or Mudkip. Pick a 
pokemon that you like and press A one time to see the picture if you want that 
pokemon. (It will be the one that you get.) If you choose Torchic it is weak in the 
beginning but strong against the elite four. Win the battle against the wild 
pokemon. After that Professor Birch will take you back to his lab. 

             - - - - - - - - - - - LittleRoot Town - - - - - - - - - - - 

Professor Birch will give you the pokemon that you chose to save him. After that he 
will start talking and he will ask you to meet his daughter/son. Leave professor 
Birches lab and go into route 101. 

                 - - - - - - - - - - - Route 101 - - - - - - - - - - - 

Go strait and then turn right the go strait again and turn left. After that go 
strait again and you will be in Oldale town. 

                - - - - - - - - - - - Oldale Town - - - - - - - - - - - 

Go to the top of Oldale town and go in to route 103. 

               - - - - - - - - - - - Route 103 - - - - - - - - - - - 

When you are on route 103 go in to the tall grass. Battle a lot of wild pokemon 
until your pokemon is at level 10. Then go to the top of route 103 and battle 
Brandon/May. If you beat Brandon/May She will talk to you and run in to Oldale town 
follow him/her. 

              - - - - - - - - - - - Oldale Town - - - - - - - - - - - 

If you need to go to the pokemon center and restore your pokemons health. After you 
do that go to the end of town and speak to Brandon/May. Then go on to route 101. 


                - - - - - - - - - - - Route 101 - - - - - - - - - - - 

When you are on route 101 go down the hills and go in to LittleRoot town. 

            - - - - - - - - - - - LittleRoot Town - - - - - - - - - - - 

Go in to professor Birches lab and speak to professor Birch. He will give you a 
pokedex. After he is finished speaking Brandon/May will give you some pokeballs. 
After that leave professor Birches lab and start heading to route 101. When you are 
on you are on your way to route 101 your mother will speak to you and she will give 
you the running. After she is finished speaking go to route 101 and go on it. 

               - - - - - - - - - - - Route 101 - - - - - - - - - - - 

When you are on route 101 go to Oldale town. 

              - - - - - - - - - - - Oldale Town - - - - - - - - - - - 

In Oldale town go behind the pokemon center and go where the man would not let you 
because he said he was tracing the footprints of a rare pokemon. Go on to route 102. 

               - - - - - - - - - - - Route102 - - - - - - - - - - - 

When you are on route 102 go to the first trainer. After you beat him go to the girl 
and battle her. When you beat her go in the grass behind her and catch some pokemon. 
Then go through the tall grass in front of her and go the next trainer at the top of 
the hill and battle him. After you beat him go behind him an pick the berries. After 
that walk left until you see the next trainer. After you beat her go down and get 
the potion. Next go up the hill and go to Petalburg city.

         - - - - - - - - - - - Petalburg City - - - - - - - - - - - 

When you are in Petalburg city go to the pokemon center and restore your pokemons 
health. When your pokemons health is restored leave the pokemon center and go to 
Petalburg city gym. When you are at Petalburg city gym go in and talk to your 
father. When your father is talking a kid named Wally will come in and talk to your 
dad. Your dad will give him a pokemon to borrow and one poke ball. Your dad will ask 
you to go with Wally and make sure he does it right. You and Wally will leave and 
catch a pokemon and come back Wally and will give the pokemon that he barrowed and 
leave. Then your dad will talk to you again when he is finished speaking leave the 
gym and go to pokemon mart and buy some pokeballs. Then leave pokemon mart and ego 
to route 104 that is on the opposite side of the town that you came. 

                - - - - - - - - - - - Route 104 - - - - - - - - - - - 

When you are on route 104 go down the stairs and walk in front of the person that is 
walking an challenge them to a battle. After you beat him go to the stairs that has 
the house at the top of them and go up them. Go right at the top of the stairs. Go 
on to the path when you turn right. Then go forward until the path goes left. Go 
left and challenge rich boy Winston to a pokemon battle. After you beat him go in to 
Petalburg woods. 

            - - - - - - - - - - - Petalburg Woods - - - - - - - - - - - 

When in Petalburg woods go strait and then turn left. Then walk in front of the 
first pokemon trainer. He will challenge you to a pokemon battle. After you beat 
him . Go up and get that thing that thing that looks like a pokeball. Then turn 
right and keep going right until you cant go right anymore. Then go strait and there 
will be a man looking around after he looks around he will talk to you. After that a 
team magma grunt will come out and start talking that the guy that was looking 
around will hide behind you and ask you to save him. The team magma grunt will 
challenge you to a pokemon battle. After you beat him the guy that was hiding behind 
you will give you a Greatball. Then go up and turn left keep going left until you 
see a second person. After that go up and they will challenge you to a pokemon 
battle. Beat her and then go up and turn left. After that go up and leave Petalburg 
woods and you will Route 104.

                - - - - - - - - - - - Route 104 - - - - - - - - - - -

When you are on Route 104 go up and then turn left. After you have gone left go up 
and enter the Flower Shop. Talk to one of the ladies in there. When you talk to the 
lady that has the Wailmer Pail. She will give it to you. After you have the Wailmer 
Pail leave Flower Shop and go behind it. You will find some things back there.
