Half-Life puts you in Black Mesa research facility, an ultra-secret laboratory under government contract, conducting top-secret and extremely volatile experiments with stuff you are not supposed to know about. You are Gordon Freeman, a Black Mesa employee. This morning, as usual, you pit your way to the research facility for a run-of-the-mill experiment. Only this mornings experiment is not quite as ordinary as you thought. Odd things begin to happen as you make your way to one of the Black Mesa test chambers. Even weirder things happen when you start to move the Test Sample towards the antimass-spectrometer. And you aint seen nothing yet. Yes indeed, the experiment went wrong, and someone wants to keep this hush-hush operation a secret. You know what that means; you will have to fight your way through to the top of the Black Mesa complex. Bizarre, alien life forms will make your life harder. A trained marine squad will make it even harder.
Half-Life is a Shooter/First-Person Shooter video game for PC developed by Valve and published by Sierra on October 10, 1998. It's rated Mature by the ESRB and 35 of our users have voted it 4.3 out of 5 stars.
Our newest cheats for Half-Life were added October 22, 2003. We also have the game available on PlayStation 2, in addition to PC.
Use the -console command line cheat and start a new game. When you're on the tram (the train) keep using ur console and /impulse 101 cheat to get some weapons. Try at different times because in some places the code won't work, but get the waepons before you get to where you get off. When you have weapons and reach your destination, kill the guard just as he is putting in the code to open the TRAM door. Then kill yourself! Hit a key and you'll be on a tram traveling thru space with the mysterious man. He'll ask you if you want a job or to participate in a battle yopu can't win. It's the ending sequence!!!
Load the game with this in the command line: C:SierraHalf-Lifehl.exe -dev - toconsole. Once loaded, press ~ to open the console and type in "sv_cheats". Enter these in the console:
Result Code Adjust Gravity sv_gravity All Weapons & Ammo /impulse 101 God Mode /god Give Item /give[item name] (Item names can be found on this page) Select Level /map[map name] (map names can be found on this page) Third Person View /thirdperson Enemies Ignore You /notarget No Clipping Mode /noclip
To have all (except for a few big monsters) not attack you press the ~ key, then "/notarget", then enter and presto your no longer a target.
You can use this code to make the ground as slick as ice. Its always fun to use this code to make things a bit more interesting when you're bored. During the game press the tilde key (~) to access the console. Then type sv_friction (-999 - 9999). The default is "4". If you set this higher than 10, then you will move extremely slow, also if set lower than -3 its kinda hard to control your actions possibly resulting in health loss.(negative numbers will cause you to be "sucked" in the direction you move and the only way to stop is to hit a wall.)
If you want, an easy way of using cheats is binding them, for example, you can bind the "impulse 101" Cheat so that you can use it with ease. You bind keys by the following example: open the consola with the "~" key and write: bind "x" XXX where the "x" is the key u want to the cheat to be bound and where the XXX is the cheat, so it should come out like this: bind "c" impulse 101 then u can press "c" alota time and u'll have all the armor, have fun!
Here's a stupid yet valuable tip. If you've ever heard of "matrix" mode, or something like that, THOSE PEOPLE DONT KNOW WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT. The actual "code" they use is simpley "sv_gravity". Now you can set the gravity from 0 - 9999 simply by opening the console with the ~ tilde button and typing sv_gravity 0-9999. It's pretty simple this way. You can access otherwise inaccesable regions of the game by jumping and flying through it.

In the level "On a Rail," stop your rail car over the bridge in the beginning of the level. Get the battery (if needed) and jump on in! Kill a few Hag Worms and grap the ammo on the bottom. Swim over to the grate in one wall. Swim through it and get out your shotgun! As soon as you emerge, shoot the Houndeyes. Keep following the path until you reach a open room with dead grunts and a Bull Squid. You'll see one bright red Blast Door. Go through it and kill the Headcrabs and any Grunts. Ta-Da! Your Done!
